Today Salon.com’s Ask Pablo column has some information about the bee crisis in North America. “According to some sources, over 40 percent of honeybee colonies have vanished each year since 2006,” due to Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). This is serious stuff, since bees pollinate most of the crops we rely on for food. Pablo has some tips for making your garden bee friendly, and links to sites like Betterbee, which sells beekeeping supplies and starter kits.
